My Grandfather Jesus Jose Dorame came to CA o/a 1849 during the gold rush along with brothers and cousins Jose=Pedro-. Jose settled in Arroyo Grande Pedro settled in LA Coounty as did my granfather. My grandfather sired many illegimate children in around Los Angeles and Orange Counties. He also sired one in San Diego County. I dug some genealogy on my Grandfather . His parents were Jose Antonio Dorame and mother Maria Clara Abril. from Horcasistas and san Miguel in Sonora. My grandfather was born in Arispe Sonora around 1828. my Greatgrandfather named Ramon I donot know his wife name / My father often spoke of a Priest named Father Tomas Dorame who left Ssonora and went ot Baja CA and died there back in 1870's. My father was born in 1864 and died 1939 in Orange county. My father erased the letter E from his name why I don't have the sightest concept however I presume he was born illegiate and didn't care for the name Dorame although all the church records indicate the name Dorame.
