I found an obit for a Albert Lamanche in 1919, he was 63 years old , so this must be the Albert in the news article. And considering the name, area and age, I would say Michaels brother.

day morning at his home at Howlett
Hill, after a short lllnc**. Mr, Lamanche
had been a resident of this
vicinity all his life. He is survlved
by his wife. Mrs. Mary Lamanche:
four sons, Joseph and John
of Howlett Hill, and Leonard and
Leo Lamanche with the u.s. Army
in France; six daughters. Mrs. Milo
Penoyer. Mrs. Raymond Beckley and
the Misses Frances. Alice. Agnes
and Anna Lamanche. Funeral services
will be held at the home at
Howlett Hill Saturday morning at
9 o'clock and an hour later at St.
Peter's Church at Split rock. interment
