I don't know if this is coincidence,or not: my grandfather was a David Thomas whose dad was called Ephraim. I know he came from a large family had a brother William, Thomas, sisters Margaret and Alice. He died in 1965 aged 76,I think he originally came to Tredegar from the Varteg/Pontypool area and from a line of stone masons. They lived in the Red Lion Square area of Tredegar when he was a boy as he often said he used to slop the local doss house for his penny to attend school. If you've more info. would love to hear from you

Can you please check a Monmouthshire marriage record for me? Henry Jones and Ann Evans, 12 July 1823. This record information was sent to me several years ago by an English researcher, but he failed to give the source. Nor did he tell me if the marriage record lists the parents of either bride or groom. Your help would be greatly appreciated. These are my great-great grandparents who emigrated from Wales to American in 1830. Sincerely, John A. Mahey

I am looking for marriage information for the following couple:
Rev. Henry Harris and his wife: Mary - maiden name unknown. Rev. HARRIS was a native of Abersychen. They arrived in the US July 3rd 1837. Henry was 45, and his wife was 40 when they arrived with daughters Mary, age 7, born 1831; and Phoebe, age 1 y.o.; and son Ebenzer, age 10. I guesstimate their marriage year to be between 1810 and 1827. I have no knowledge of where they were married.
Should you require ages, Henry was born ca. 1792, and Mary about 5 years later - 1797.
Thank you for your assistance.
