I am also a descendant of James B. and Jane Rankin Blackburn through their son Robert Rankin Blackburn. I did research in Cynthiana, but did not go to their home on the Licking River. I do not believe that they were buried in KY. I have photos of Jane's tombstone in IL. The stone looks as if it has been there forever and has her date of death inscribed. Next to hers a a stone with just the initials "J. B.". Another Blackburn ia also buried on the plot. If you would like to share information I would be delightd to correspond. I also visited with Donamontha Hupp several years ago. She contributed to the book that Frances Hilliard wrote. Donnamontha said that further research proved (in her opinion) that James B.'s parents were John & Ann Logan Blackburn. I have been unable to locate Donnamonth in the last few years; would love to know where she is or her descendants. Look forward to hearing from you.
