I have just started researching my family. My grandfather was Coleman Kindred. Coleman died Aug. 8, 1946. I believe his parents were Overton (Ove) Kindred Jr. and Sarah Francis. I can tell you that Coleman married Grace Watkins. His siblings were (from what I can tell): Mary Elizabeth, Melissa Jane, China Ellen, Sarah Frances, Asa Anderson, Susan Alice, Dovie D., Dollie, and Ovie (and maybe Pearl, I'm not sure). Coleman and Grace children were: Angie, Ruth, Viola, Mary, Beatrice, Betty, Phyllis (my mom), Bobbie, and Jesse. Coleman and Grace lived in and are buried in Villa Grove, Illinois. Please let me know if you have found any information.

I'm looking for information on Crutchley realitives from the McLean area. Bessie Crutchley married Roy Dibble between 1900-1910. Do you know any crutchley's that married a Dibble? By the way, there are Kindred's from the Arrowsmith and Saybrook, McLean Co., IL area. Would any of them be related to ones your looking for?

Mary Jane,
Thanks for all the info! I really appreciate the help. My husbands mother, Clara Coyle Mosier, is Letha Dibble Coyle's dtr. I've been trying to fill in gaps in the family tree.
Clara remembers an Aunt Edna Crutchley (Alta Edna Crutchley) from the McLean area in IL. Do you have anything about Bessie or the Crutchley's? I have a copy of Roy Dibble's SS app. It has John Sanders from Ok as his father, and Della Dibble, IL, as his mother. It states that Roy took his maternal g-parents name when he was adopted by them.
Do you know who they were?
Thanks, again, for your answer. Roxanne Mosier

Going over Crutchley messages, I saw your message in re Bessie Crutchley and Roy Dibble. Both trees, 1321 and 698, that you mentioned were posted by my husband and I. My paternal grandmother was Rosetta Crutchley Burger, a sister of Bessie Crutchley who married Roy Dibble. Bessie was my dad's aunt. I grew up knowing the whole family, lived in the same town. Walter Crutchley was a brother to Rosetta and Bessie; there were other children. I have information on their parents, siblings, etc. I remember a Dovie married to Walter but I was only a child. Just thought it was interesting to find your message. If you would like further info, let me know, will gladly share.

Thanks for your reply. It's more than I knew before. I would love to have any information that you have from the Crutchley family. I've found Samuel and Matilda (no surname on Matilda), and Edmond. Who was Edmond's wife? Your help would be greatly appreciated! You could email if you'd like, but others might need the family info, too.

I have quite a bit of info on Crutchley's, starting with John Crutchley, b in England, who m Nancy/Ann Chambers in 1815 in Frederick Co., MD; later moved to Harper's Ferry, Jefferson Co., VA (now WV), then to Bond Co., IL.;, one of the children was Samuel Edward Crutchley I, b 16 Dec., 1820 in Harper's Ferry. Samuel Edward m Matilda Jane White 13 Aug 1846 in Greenville, Bond Co., IL. Matilda was the dau of Thomas White II and Mary (Polly) Dixon. Edmond Monroe Crutchley, b 25 Oct 1848, b Smithboro, Bond Co., IL, had two wives, (1) Mary Janet Leigh, (2) Sarah Ann Spillman.
My paternal grandmother, Rosetta Crutchley Burger, was the dau of Edmond Monroe Crutchley and Sarah Ann Spillman.
I have a lot more info about the family beginning with John Crutchley.....too much to type. I can send you an email attachment of what I have if you like. I;m more than happy to share info. Use my email address please....I don't check message boards that often.

Dovie and Walter were my great grandparents. Although I don't hav emuch info than that.
I started this thread a year before my house burned down and all the info I had gathered was destroyed.
I lost heart at all the knowledge I had gathered being lost.
Any help that can be given in helping me reconstruct this info would be much appreciated.

Hello Viola,
I haven't worked on my genealogy lately, but I could either email or mail you some of the information I have on hand. Please let me know either way. The files might be rather large.
So sorry to read of your tragedy in losing everything to fire. I hope you have gained some peace in the aftermath.
Good Luck and God Bless your family.
