Mary, the only Anna Shaws I have in my data base was Anna #1 born 1769 and married Donald MacPhearson. She died in 1834. She had a daughter named Anna #2 b1802 who married a Thomas Wilson. She died in 1872.

As you are aware, Helen Shaw married Hugh MacDonald, father of Sir John. Helen's Mother married two different Shaw's. first William and then James. Anna was from William. While Helen was from James. That could be your confusion.

I do not have the name of MacLeod tied to the Shaws.

Margaret, Anna's #2 sister by William and Anna #1, married Capt Alexander Clark and they had a daughter named Anna #3 b 1807.

Based on your notes, Marriet married in 1819 so she would have been born around 1800 give or take a few years. Her Mother, Anna would have been from the generation of 1770 to 1780 or so. Margaret, Helen and Anna were all born at that time.

However, I show no Moiret or Marriet in my notes.

My role in Sir John has taken many turns and we do not know the entire family tree. There are several others out there who are much more qualified than I in the family of Sir Johna most of my notes came from them. They monitor this post and might ad a comment or two.

Thanks.
