Well, in 1880, Elizabeth said that her mother was born in Ohio & her father was born in Tennessee. The only Elizabeth Walker from Darke County who fits that profile was a daughter of one of Henry's wife's cousins.
This was not a mistake. She lied. This was after the Civil War, most of the local regiments had lost heavily in the war. She was not about to say that her mother was born in Georgia. Whether or not her father was born in Tennessee is questionable, at best, but it was safe. The local Civil War regiments had served with regiments from East Tennessee.
The census information is only as good as what the people told, but in this case it creates problems with documenting her parents, but the reason is understandable.
Fortunately, the 1860 census provided evidence.
