Carrie Bell Quantrell's father's name was Charles H. Quantrell.. His father was William Henry Quantrell, who came to Ohio from England in 1828...Because the family names repeat so much in our family and in W.C.s family, because he immigrated to the next county to W.C.s family, because the family continued to go back forth between Ohio Michigan/Indiana, because Carrie was named Carrie in 1864,we believe the families are definitely connected...I am confused about your Bedwell information, though...I was told that George Bedwells brother William was Georges only brother..Dont know if I was ever told about any sisters. There is a discussion on the Bedwell forum in which my daughter Carrie was told of some information which fits our family very well-i.e. the children of George Carrie Bedwell.. However, there are many more children in that family than I believed to be the case AND they show a death date for William prior to 1940...OUR William was most definitely alive in 1941. I have a photo of him holding Carrie Quantrell-Bedwell's 1st great granddaughter who was born on March 15,1941.
