Yes, it sounds familiar. Your Joseph is not the Joseph I was searching for. I believe Joseph H. Hisey's father was a John Hisey who married a Priscilla Hutchinson in Lawrence Co. OH. They were from Monroe Co. VA (now WV). John's father is believed to be a John Hisey. John Hisey Sr. moved from Greenbrier Co. VA and settled in Monroe Co. VA. I am helping my cousin with this research. I sent your posting to her, but she doesn't follow through very well.

Joseph Hisey m. Sarah Morris. She d. in Ross Co., or Fayette Co. OH. I have never been able to find their marriage.
