I guess the answer is yes and no as based on the info I provided below there is an Archibald son of Archibald as well as son of Donald but which one is yours. Would the 10 children not tell you more?

There is another Archibald Grant U.E.L. Who married Ann (Nancy) MacDonald in St. Raphael’s 31 July 1832 and this Archibald is the son of Donald Grant U.E.L. Jr and Isabella MacDonald. This Archibald was born on Lot 12, 2nd Charlottenburgh. There are 10 children recorded.
