I thought I would help you guys out a little. I found this in a Bladen County Cemetery Survey book compiled in the 1980's. PLEASE NOTE THAT IT SAYS THAT NO MARKERS REMAIN! Here's what it says...

page. 111

59. Old Burney Cemetery

location: At Elkton, go down the railroad about 0.5 mile to a field on the left side of the railroad. Follow the E side of the field to the woods, the about 0.5 miles on a woods road. This is across the railroad from the McCulloch place, on the land now belonging to Mrs. Margaret N. Clark. There are no markers, since the timber was cut and the land reset in pines, destroying the markers. At the site of the cemetery is a stone marker with the inscription: OLD BURNEY CEMETERY. Dorthy B. McCall has furnished this list of those known buried there.

James Burney, 1783-1828
Sallie Council Burney, 1784-1860
