Yes, I have him in the tree. I have been unable to locate him in any Census record. The only evidence I have for W. H. Cheser is his death certificate. I would love to discover what his names are.
The Cheser branch for the most part is largely unknown. James M. Cheser is listed as an original landowner in Montague County, Texas. He also served in the Confederacy during the Civil War and was a Texas Ranger in the 1870's. I have been unsuccessful in locating his biological parents and he is another brick wall. Cheser is one of those last names that gets misspelled all the time and is a variant of Cheshire.
I have been unable to locate a certificate for James M. Cheser's first marriage.
