I, too, am searching Banta lines. Not actively at this time however. There is a book avaliable though on the Banta's dating back to 1600. The title is "Banta Pioneers & Records of the Wives and Allied Families" I have found it to be quite accurate with the information that I have checked. Try Barnes & Noble for the possibility of a copy or if you'd like, I could send copies of some that I have, although the postage may be a little steep. (There's quite a few pages.)

I have an Anna Banta in my ancestory. She was born in July 1881 in Ridgefarm, Vermilion, IL. Anna's parents, according to her marriage certificate, were James Banta and Barbera E. Kopeckie. Anna Banta married Roscoe Woodyard in 1903. Perhaps Anna was a sister of Nettie(?).
