Joe, I have read alot of your input on the Lemoines of La. and I totaly agree with you. I have on Michel ,born 1686 in Bresses,France.Came to America on the ship the "Profond" to work on the Law Cocession. Left La Rochelle, France on June 10, 1720 and arrived on September 20, 1720. and married Marie Joignard (also a spelling of Guenard) in 1722, and Charles born 1728 in Ill. part of.Quebec. this is from (Elizabeth Shawn Mills, Abstracts of Catholic church registers of French & Spanish post of St. Jean Baptiste des Natchitoches. Does this sound right to you ?

Thanks Joe, I should have said Marie Joignard & Guilliame's marriage Record , she & Michel is in my line of Lemoines,forgot Guilliame married 2 Maries.Of course back then, sometimes Marie was attached to all females in a family.

Since you are of the Port ALlen Lemoines you may be able to help me. I am just starting to research this family. My grandmother was Maude Lemoine Robeau. Her father was Oscar Lemoine.
