my family from the ramos side is rooted in one of the original mier settlers (Jose Juan Antonio Ramos) and my family at some point in the 1800's moved from the mier area into starr county and some how up toward brooks county and the vicinity, this would have been around 1900's (1905 on). My grandfather and father were born there and I believe there is still existing family in this area. My family was in the cattle business and I believe that somehow that they ended up in that area as a result of it; I have not fully figured it out though. Yet, I still have family all over the Rio Grande Valley today. If there are certain names or dates please send me an email I'll be glad to help if I can.

I have been researching the "Charles" surname for quite some time. My Great Grandmother was Trinidad Charles, married Librado Santos Sr. She was born around the mid-to-late 1870's in Mexico. Family accounts lists San Buenaventura, Mexico, according to LDS records she was christened there but may not have been born there. She entered the U.S. through Pedrias Negra, Coahuila, Mexico. I have other family information available. She lived and is buried in Del Rio,Texas, year of death 1963. Her mother was named Juanita and her father Pablo. Thank you, Esther

Hi,
My Camargo ancestors were Jose Benito Ramos, born 1820, who married Guadalupe Carrion born 1815 both in Camargo. Jose Benito's parents were Juan Jose Ramos and Maria del Refugio de la Garza. Jose Benito and Guadalupe settled in La Rosita, Texas (Trevino) by 1860. La Rosita is close to San Diego, Texas
