I am looking for information on Stephen Jefferson Garner. He was in Lawrence Co., MS about the same time as some of the Sturdy Garner descendants, but I have not been able to connect Stephen with them. He was b. Nov. 16, 1793 in NC. At least 3 of his sons were born in GA, between 1825 and 1832. He was in Lawrence Co.,MS 1838-1841 and then in Covington Co, until his death in 1883. He was married at least twice. The first wife is unknown and the second in Lavisa Simmons-Carter. If you have run across him in your research, I would appreciate your help. Thank you for your consideration.
