Yes,
I think so. John
Makemson, Revolutionary War Veteran (b 1745?, Ireland, d. 1814
Pendelton, County,
Kentucky)
About 1780, the surviving
Makemson family, homesteaded in
Kentucky.
Eldest brother John
Makemson, purchased land (1795) in
Harrison County, and later
Pendelton County.
There was a cholera epidemic c. 1833, and John's oldest son Andrew, and Andrew's second wife, Elizabeth Hand
Makemson, were among the victums.
Elizabeth Hand's relatives took the surviving children and raised them in
Pendelton County.
Andrew's oldest son William
Makemson, became the progenitor of the Makemsons that live in
Morgan,
Kentucky today.
I am writing this while visiting, and my papers are at home! So I hope I am remembering correctly! Also, the name
