I was at a funeral in Holme on Spalding Moor yesterday 17th February 2012 and learnt from a local farmer that an RAF aircraft had crashed on his farm on 2nd March 1942/3 (he wasn't sure of the year) and all four Canadian crew were killed. He is amazed that there is no memorial on the site. Think the farm was called Sandmill Farm. The crash happened after take-off. Trying to find out more.
