Perhaps you saw the numbers 2 8 in the column for cause of death. That info has something to do with passenger count

I found Katalin and the children using Ancestry. This AM using Stephen Morse I see Ellis Island org transcribed her name as Kutalin.... another good reason to use more than one search engine!

Yes I noticed John and George on the same tombstone.

When Katalin and the children arrived Ellis Island was open for processing immigrants, but when John arrived he processed through Castle Garden.
