Do you know if Hiett or Hiatt was also a form of the HILL / HITT surname in Culpeper County?

I've been researching an Abner Hill born in VA abt 1868. Haven't found out what county yet. He married Elizabeth Fullilove in Madison County, KY in 1802. Can't find any sign of him or any family before 1802. There is an Abner Hiett on the tax list for 1792 in Madison. Madison was created out of Lincoln County, which use to be VA . A related family was from Fauquier County, VA. There was also a Susannah Hill that married a Kelley from Culpeper. Not sure of a connection with her yet. So, we've spread our search to Culpeper and Fauquier Counties.

Any information on variations of the Germanic Hill / Hitt name would be helpfull.
