Today Lou applied for the birth certificate. In the very begginning the office was run by a lovely woman by the name of Taphouse and she used to get just as excited as us and find out for us there and then. She used to make ancestry research for us fun and exciting. Sadly, the old days and people are long gone and now its going to take 28 days for them to process the certificate, they wouldnt even look for Lou just to confirm yes or no so we could continue. Lets hope patience pays off.

I would like to ask your advice again though on another matter. My husbands grandmother here in the USA. Here is a little background on the person that I am trying to find.

The Geneva in question was married to an Ernest Tindle on 14th August 1943 and on her marriage certificate she listed the name as Geneva Pauline Lily born 12 July 1921. They had their only son in May of 1947 and around 1962/1963 she dropped her son off at baseball practice and never returned to pick him up. Later on he found out that his mother was involved with another man named either Bob or Robert and that was the last he ever saw of his mother. Ernest and Pauline apparently never legally divorced and it was agreed that she would leave and would not be reported as a missing person as she was claiming two checks, whatever that means.

We have details for the marriage certificate but cannot find the entry online, nor any other record, are we looking in the wrong places or maybe not researching correctly. Id be interested to know if there is an art to this and where you would advise me to start.

Kindest regards

Mirry
