HI did you guys have your dna done?
because saw a close match to ours that had some of your names on it kind of .
our family has conflicting grandma's as many women died back then and so we are not sure who our grandma was after a certain point.. only thing we do know is that the real ones were indian..
one mother or step mother would be an Eliza Redman and the other is possible mother or step mother was Matilda Mcfarland.
have you found any connections to the sirnames barker starr or clyne in this redman line?
these are the daughter names from our real grandma middle names and somehow should be connected too.
the daughters full name is Paulina Melviney Clyne Barker Starr Dean. and we know that our real grandmother or her mother walked the trail of tears. and her mom being a possible Redman or Mcfarland or any of her middle names really . lots of folks changed their names back then too. so one lady step mom and one is the mom , maybe gosh we hope . other than dna being U5b2 we are lost.
we also told that we were cherokee... but shawnee/ or 6 nations / and cherokee connections is most probable with the Barker name in there. so we will take any one of the Iroquois nations will do.. because that is what the cherokee were too.
any ideas?
