Hello Stephanie, I also have family lineage from Holyrood and St. John's area. I was wondering what is your family connection to the Furlong name. My ggrandfather's name was John Furlong married to Jane "Jennie" O'Keefe (changed her last name to Keefe). They had the following children: Thomas (my grandfather), Katherine, Agnes, Nell "Ellen", Joseph, Patrick, Phillip. If this sounds like any connection, please email me. Thanks.

Please tell me where Harbour Main is? I had a great aunt who's name was Catherine Costigan. I'm not sure if she ever married. Her parents were Daniel Costigan and Ann Sheedy who were born in Ireland and settled in Jersey City, N.J. Catherine had about 11 brothers and sisters. Any connection ? thanks Nancy

Hi Nancy, Harbour Main is in Newfoundland Canada. My gggggrandfather settled there from Kileash, County Tipperary, Ireland where he was born in 1790. I do not know anyother details. I suggest that you visit Judy Barkers website. http://members.aol.com/judyb3753/She is also a Costigan decendent and my have some Costigan Ireland information. Glenn

Dear Gleen Thanks for your reply. I already visited Judys web site but she knew nothing about this branch of the Costigans. I am not sure that they came to St Johns East I just know they eventually settled to Jersey City, N.J. and came from Ireland. Thanks again Nancy
