Loss of many census records of Georgia for 1790, 1800, and 1810 make research on the Fountains, who came to Georgia from Duplin County, North Carolina, difficult. It is quite likely that the original wills of Jonathan and William Fountain were destroyed by fire, but they exist in typed form. The brothers Jonathan and William Fountain arrived in Burke County, Georgia (later an area of Jefferson County) in the 1780's. I don't know if this confuses or aids your research!
