Surnames: Ensley, Parris
Not sure why the Death Certificate lists the father and mother incorrectly. Everything I have ever seen has Sarah Parris parents as James Parris and Amy McIntire. I don't see any blood relationship to the Ensley's, however the Parris and Ensley family's did intermarry at times. Sarah is the sister to my GG Grandmother Mary Ann Parris who married Wilson Coleman Ensley. Bernie Cooper

Dear Sharon,
I can't help you with the Parrises or Ensleys. I have a question about your grandfather George W. Ward. According to marriage records, his father did not marry Mary Taylor until 27 April, 1889. George's birth date is either 1887 or 1888. Death cert. says 1887, tombstone says 1888. Could his mother have been Beluzen Ward? Also, 1930 census says he was born in Tenn. Wife: Clara Louise Hipps; children, S. Elizabeth age 15, James E. age 9, William age 6 and Virginia age 3 3/12. He and Clara are buried at Farmer Cem. also known as Olivet.

There was a James Endsley/Andrew Endsley family in Haywood NC 1800-1840, part of which became Jackson Co.

This family I think connects to the Endsley family in Guilford/Surry NC.

My Robert Carson line (son David Carson) in those counties connected indirectly with the Endsleys....probably circumstantial.
