Here's George N. Shaw's Obituary

George N. Shaw, 83 year old resident of Brown County, passed away in Bloomington, Monroe County, Indiana at 1:30 am Monday at teh home of his daughter, Mrs. Nettie E. Frye. He was taken to Bloomington Monday, June 20, following a stroke. For years, Mr. Shaw had been an active church worker.

The widow, Mrs. Alice Shaw and the following seven children survive: Mrs. Levine Crouch, Elkhart, IN; Mrs. Etta Brock, Lafayette, OH; J. Edward Shaw, Miami, FL; Mrs. Bertha Helton and Charels W. Shaw, Terre Haute, IN; James Shaw and Mrs. Frye, Bloomington, IN.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Duncan Cemetery, with Rev. M. E. Conner, of the South Side Church, Bloomington in charge of the services.

The pallbearers were Blaine Swindler, Robert Robertson, Irvin Shaw, Claudus Albright, Alva Helton and Everett Shaw. The granddaughters were flower bearers. (June 30, 1938 Brown County Democrat Obituary)
