Great to hear from you but sadly I have very little information about Charles PLATTS who died in the flood.

If you would be kind enough to contact me off list [KarenL823@aol.com] I will send you a pdf file containing the few notes I have about the flood PLATTS family. As you will see, I haven't even been able to confirm a definite entry for Charles in the 1861 census taken just 3 years before the flood.
