Well it has been so long since I have checked to see if there were any replies to my message and now I see so many, I couldnt quite believe it! It is great to see so many Capaldis or people with links to Capaldis reply, I hope that some way we can see how we all link together. I have been trying to trace Capaldis all over the world for about five years now.
After my first message in January I travelled to Italy to find my Great Great Grandfathers old home in Cassino, sadly it is ruins on the hill side now but never the less was great to see and find. Id have to say it was the most wonderful holiday I have ever had. My family emigrated to England from Italy in around 1870 and based themselves in Bristol. I now live in Australia but return to England often. I hope that we can keep this page going and hope that you all gain the information you want from it. I have several photos of Capaldis from around 1890 onwards so at some point will get them to whomever is interested. I read in one of the messages that there is a photo of capaldis in Bristol somewhere, could you please tell me more!
