Well, this is very interesting, so they were going together...as a group.... I assume from the way you indicate this...did the Grays then stay in NJ with Col Daniel McFarland prior to his moving to PA? (I assume that you must be referring to Col Daniel McFarland, died in Amity, PA). I don't recall Crane (1907) mentioning any Grays that went to NJ with the McFarlands...if so which one of John Gray's children/sons went with the McFarlands, John Gray being the father of Rebecca Scott/Gray, who married Andrew McFarland, Andrew McF. being the father of Col Daniel McFarland. In reality Col Daniel McF brought land in Washington Co from, John Barbour, on 1-1-1785, 400 acres, this could be John Barbour, wife named Hannah Gray....she could be connected to the Grays of Worcester (I do not know)...in addition, John Barbour was the son of Robert Barbour and Sarah Gray of Worcester Mass. However, I am not discounting your idea that Grays and McFarlands traveled together, perhaps first to NJ and then to PA....if you don't mind my asking what is your source for this info?....Mac
