We know John Proctor was in Rock County, WI, in the 1850 census.

The Portrait and Biographical Albumn of Rock County, Wisconsin, copyright 1889:

"first wedding.. 1840... the first death was Mrs. Proctor's, at Cloudon Stoughton's. The first child was born... 1839."

It is possible the above refers to John's first wife; the timing seems correct.

The Emerald Grove Cemetery, Bradford Township, Rock County, WI, includes a Proctor, no first name given in the online site I found.

I know you have the following:
From the Wisconsin Historical Society

Marriage Record Details

Last Name: Proctor

First Name: John

Day: 10

Month: November

Year: 1842

County: Rock

Volume: 1

Page: 129

--- Have you sent for the certificate to see exactly what it says? Juliana Southridge doesn't match any other record even remotely, and no Southridge found in records in Wisconsin at all.
