I would dearly love to get to the bottom of this family mystery. My father and I descend from John and Anna Starkweather but do not show any Native American in our recent DNA tests. While we are not a direct descent in terms of mtDNA or Y-DNA, it should show up in the autosomal results, right? Or do you think we are too many generations out??? Anna is my 8th great-grandmother.
