Surnames: Rose, Whisman, Swango, Chambers, Click, Frederick, Stamper, Shoemaker, Tutt
My family of Rose, Whisman, Swango, Chambers, Click, Frederick, Stamper, Shoemaker, Tutt, etc. A lot of "gypsies." A lot of "Melungeons." Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky. In my family, we associate the Jenkins (sometimes seen Judkins) as a "gypsy" name. My suspicion is that your uncle was, in fact, a handsome gypsy. :)
