Mary Frances Clanton, first child of Abigail and Jeremiah Clanton, was born in Missouri ? ( Probably McDonald County) on May 16, 1856. She and George Irvin McBee were married about 1875 exact date and place not as yet known. George McBee was born in Tennessee on Sept. 20, 1852. Their children were as follows: 1. Charlie, b.27 Aug. 1875, died 11 July 1876. Buried in Missouri. 2. Joseph Pink, b. 11 May,1878 in Missouri; d. 10 Aug., 1969 at McAlester,Ok. He was married to Hattie Green at Krebs, Oklahoma. 3. Walter Elijah, b. Feb. 3rd,1881 in Missouri. d. 12 Jan.1919 at Savannah, Oklahoma. His wifes surname was Bremedge, said to be Indian. 4. George M. b. 1 Apr. 1881, in Missouri. d. 1 Oct. 1958., burial at Oak Hill Cemetary, McAlester. His wife was Anna Loughridge (b. June 29,1886 at Ft. Smith, Ark. a daughter of Abe Loughridge . George and Anna had Gene, Earl Stanley, and Majorie. 5. Emily b. 2nd. January,1884 in Oklahoma. d. 11 June 1890. 6. Stella, b.19 July 1886, d. 29 Jan. 1959, at Miami, Ok. 7. Pat Lee, b. 22 July 1892, d. 10 Sept. 1968. at Denuba, Calif. His wife was the former Vivian Saunders. 8. Wm. Henry b. 16 July, 1894, d. June 13, 1972 at Hartshorne, Oklahoma. 9. Myrtle, b 16 Jan. 1897, at present (1976) in Nursing home at Quapaw, Ok. Never married. 10. Pete, married Nellie Campbell at Krebs, Ok. Both George and Mary Frances are buried at Oak Hill Cemetary, McAlester Ok. G. I. McBee died on Oct 17, 1929, and his wife on 23 April. 1927.
