Actually they found the match when they tested her uterus or ovaries. The first samples, probably saliva or blood, did not match. It would seem if the cause of this is an absorbed twin, it should make little difference for genealogical purposes, as the twin would most likely have the same ancestry. It also seems that the child should still test as closely related.
