My Joseph Hill migrated to Jefferson Co TN from Hampshire Co VA about 1786. He died in TN in 1807. His family were early settlers to the area around Holeman's Creek and Mill Creek in Old Frederick Co VA ( now Shenandoah).
As far as I know, there is no connection to the Hill families in NC.
