I see you have Mark in your surname list. I am looking for Simon Mark, born about 1799/1800 in Canada. He lived in Percy, Ontario in 1817, but thats all I have of his time in Canada. No parents, or other relatives other than his wife, Rebecca Bruneon, also born in Canada about the same time. He at some point came to the U.S. I have only recently begun my own research and do not have a lot of information as yet.

Anything you could share would be greatly appreciated!

Hi: You mention that you are researching a Simon Mark..
I have no one by that name in my line. My Mark clan came from N. Ireland to Eastern Ontario.
Good luck!

Hi,
I found your post about a James Glendening. Did you ever find any more info ? I have a James and wife Tennie Riley with a daughter named Melisse Jane. I haven't been able to find any futher info after 1920. If this is a connection I'd be glad to share what i have.

If you provide me with the information, I can go to Lakeview and take a picture for you. By the way, there are 7 Clendenning families listed in our local phone book. If you know where your family settled in this area, I can direct you to the proper historical society or library with information. Hope this helps.

Hi Teresa,

A quick note. My mother's sister, Mary May Higgs married into the Clendinneng family in Montreal.
She married Henry Montgomery. Their son "Stephen" was always called "Henry Stephen" by my mother in any references to him.

More later.

All the best,

Heather
