The German's name was, indeed, Rubin Nipp. He was also in the Civil War, I believe. 37th something or another. You can look that part up. The spelling use was Rubin.

As to specifics, I will be sending you some info to your e-mail. There are descendants still in this area of East Texas and some have letters written by Drucilla's daughter. I am thinking Drucilla was probably born in East Texas. I have the dates in a volume but ... I don't remember off hand.
