The only Charles Waffle in my database is one born Oct 1826 in New York and married Caroline Matilda Gibbs in 1856 in Ohio and had children with different names than you mention below, so I do not think they are the sames Charles Waffle, although could be related.

Since this is not my direct line, I have no further information on Charles Lafeyette Waffle (my line who married Caroline Gibbs) other than he died in 1917--perhaps an obituary would name other relatives, but I don't have his place of death.
