I am a grand-daughter of Elizabeth Ann Long, who married Thomas Oliver Porter Wilding. They had 3 children, then T.O.B. Wilding died, and my grandmother then had what is now called a "de facto" relationship with Elias Joseph Solomon (note with an "o" between the m and the n). They had 3 children, Grace Irene, born 1899, Leah Ellen (my mother) born 1904 and Harold Noosa born 1909. I believe the reason for no marriage between Elias and Elizabeth was that Elias, being Jewish, would not marry out of his faith.
