My family, Donald MacEachern, also came to Pictou from Arisaig, Scotland in 1791. Colin S. MacDonald states that in 1791 two vessels, one of which he believed was the "Dunkeld" arrived in Pictou. I have also seen it referred to as the "Dunkfield".

Could you tell me where your reference "Dunkle" came from? Any direction on where to find references would be greatly appreciated. Why they came at that time? Who organized the ship; is there a ship list, etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
