I notice in your tree you have #149 James Brooks Married to Santia ???Weddington. Who son was Grover Lester Brooks. Grover was my husband's grandfather. The story we have is that sometime between 1910-1920 the family had a fire and the mother died from results of the fire. James sent out his children to other families to be adopted. Tysie and Margaret Bright adopted Grover Lester Brooks who later changed his name to Grover Lester Bright. According to the 1910 census Grover is still living with his birth parents. In 1920 living with Tysie and Margaret Bright as their adopted son. Grover was born 3 Jul 1903, died 16 Apr 1978 Rome GA. Married Alma Pew, abt 1924.
