One after thought I had after I sent the prior reply was to tell you to check naturalization records which unfortunately could be anywhere. Waukegan is in the Northern district of Illinois if I remember correctly. I believe that there is a book of naturalization records for Lake county published by the society--I don't remember how early it lists records. Some of the early records don't have a lot of info, but if you are lucky it might.

The Moran family that was connected my Jenkinsons was from the Newport group.(A Moran married a Dietmeyer). If I remember correctly a Moran organized a huge family reunion either in the late 50's or early 60's. It was held in Waukegan.
