I apologize for the long reply.

I did find Everett Chandler living with George and Lena Scurlock in the 1910 Census.
I also found that George and Lena are buried at Pattonsville Cemetery in Jackson County, Ohio. Here's the link to Lena's burial information from findagrave.com:

I found Everett's WWI Draft Registration Card. It was dated 6/5/1917 and was for Summit Co, Ohio.
It states Everett was born 10/26/1895 and his home address at that time was Kenmore, Ohio, which I understand is a suburb of Akron.
It states Everett was born in Wellston, Ohio, which is in Jackson Co.
It states he is a Rubberworker? working for Miller Rubber Company in South Akron and that he is single.
This WWI record was very difficult to read.

I found in the Ohio Death Records dated 1908-1932, 1938-1944 and 1958-2007 on Ancestry.com that an Everett C Chandler, born 1896, died 5/14/1972 in Nelsonville, Athens County, Ohio. It stated his residence was Jackson County, OH.

I found in the 1900 Census a Clarence E Chandler in Barberton, Summit County, Ohio, living with parents Benjamin and Josephine.
Not sure if this is your Everett, but it may be a lead to follow.

I found the following just by doing a Google search:

DATE: 06/28/2000 SUBMITTER: James Anthony Coons
SURNAMES: CHANDLER, SCURLOCK, STIFFLER, RENTSCHLER
This contains updated Information since my 1998 query. My mother's family (Beryl Kay STIFFLER COONS) has been trying to locate their half-sister that ran away from home in about 1947 at about age 27, when my mother was 5. Supposedly, because her step-father, Charles Edward STIFFLER, would not pay for her to go to college. Her name was Mabel Imogene CHANDLER (born 03/04/20 in Bloomfield Township, Jackson County, Jackson OH), daughter of Everett CHANDLER and Fannie Lutela "Tela" SCURLOCK CHANDLER (born 02/18/1902 in Jackson OH, died 10/10/1980). Mabel graduated from Jackson High School in 1939 at the age of about 19. Mabel married Ralph/Harold RENTSCHLER/Renchler/Renschler in Columbus OH, on June 14, sometime from 1945-1955. She joined the WACS in Columbus OH (U.S. Army Number A504067) and was in the service from 1942 to 1945. At one time, she was stationed Daytona, Florida with the WACS. On her military discharge papers, she lived in Grove City, OH. Her existing relatives believe that she moved with him to California. She has not been heard of since. Some of these dates do not seem to make sense, so perhaps I have transcribed them incorrectly. Any information you can provide, especially about the RENTSCHLER connection and/or marriage and/or death information about either of them would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest finding someone who lives in the Jackson County area who is willing to do obituary lookups. You may contact the Jackson County Genealogical Society. They would probably be able to look it up or give you a name of someone who will do lookups for free or for a small amount.
I'm sorry I couldn't find more for you.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Kathy James
