No one is buying genealogies.
Mr. Tate said he thought his information was being sold because he found it on another gedcom. He assumed it was "bought" on CD or something. In fact, when he uploaded his gedcom, he did not stop downloads, it was simply downloaded, not sold.
He has since changed it so no one can do it again. Most of his notes are nothing but "Obituary from ..... newspaper."
A simple misunderstanding and much ado about nothing.
Dahlia was joking about selling some of her ancestors - cheap. I've got a few of those myself. :)
