I was guessing it is Mathew because the 1900 census showed a grandmother Mary with a son Matthew and many children matching the names of my husband's grandmother's Julia Hurley 's family . So I am thinking now that her father name was probably Timothy and the children were living with the grandmother and uncle. The article about Daniel from World War 1 also mentions a sister Julia and father Timothy . We knew that Julia's mother died when she was young and that the children had a tough time . Julia & Margaret lived in Yonkers also and died in their 80' s. Also Mary ( May ) died in her 8o's ( never married).
