Joseph and Barbara Walker came to settle in the Burlington, Iowa area. They had 13 children: Martin, Ely, Joseph, Sarah, Soloman, George, John, Jessie, Eber, Mary, Levi, Susanna and Silas. Joseph, Sr. died in 1850 and Barabara in 1851. They are both buried in the North Walker Cemetery, in Des Moines County. They were married approx. 1795. Would appreciate any new info on them or any descendants. Thanks!

I think you are refering to my family. If the wife, Barbara, was maiden named Teter and this family came from Randolph, Pendleton county line area along the Laurel fork of the Cheat River in Virginia in the mid1800's. Please reply as your dates don't exactly coincide with what I've uncovered.

These are my 4grandparents also. A cousin has compiled a geneological listing dating from their marriage to the birth of my 35 year-old daughter. To the best of her ability she traced decendants of all Joe & Barbara's issue. Please reply.

Yeah, Nic, that would be the same Barbara. What I have on the area they came from is: Joseph with his wife Barbara, went 60 mils north and settled on the line between Randolph and Penbdelton Cty. Jos. & Barb. married about 1795 and they lived near the line of Randolph and Pendelton Cty, WV. The first of the family came to Benton township in Burlington, Iowa in 1836, etc., etc. write back on my e-mail address and we'll compare notes

Among the descendants of Joseph & Barbara Walker do you have a Sarah Francis Walker b. 6/19/1845? She married John Daniel Brock in 1866 I am presuming they were married in the Burlington area (he was b. 1845 near Burlington and a letter dated 1873 places him still in Burlington). They are my gggrandparents. Any help you can provide in locating her family would be appreciated. Thanks, Kim

Hi - I'm not sure if I have the correct Sarah, but this is what I have on her:

Sarah J. Walker b. 19 Jul 1844 married: John D. Brock. Sarah's parents were: Jesse and Mary Bush Walker.
