Thanks for your response. There are some discrepancies between our records on Alonzo and his family. The most obvious one I have the the marriage date for him and Effie--IN marriage records and the family Bible both have them married 28 Apr 1887. The 1888 date seems to run rampant throughout everything I find on Ancestry. Methinks something got amiss a ways back in the records.
