I am the son of George Oldenburg who is the son of George Oldenburg. We all originated from the Milwaukee area. My Grandfather George married Minnie (nick name and not the Minnie in other Oldenburg threads on this borad) legal name Dorthy Oldenburg. They lived in Milwaukee in the early 1930's to 1980's. During the depression, my grandfather left Dorthy and dissapeared later to appear in California in his 80's. I met him in Twain Heart, Ca. in 1984 when he was about 84 years old. He passed away about a year after I saw him in California. My father and his sister who where both the children are still alive.
I believe George, my grandfather is related to Melanie Slaters thread located in this discussion board. I am trying to confirm this with my Aunt in Chicago.
