Do you have Alonzo's death? The index on the Burton Historical Collection's (BHC) website shows an Alonzo Leonard Bessie dying on Feb. 6, 1953 at age 83 in Eloise, Wayne County, MI. You can get a photocopy of the death record from the BHC for $10.00 I think. Should have his place of burial. Email the BHC at the following:

Eloise was the post office located on the hospital grounds. The hospital was generally referred to as Eloise but was re-named Wayne County General Hospital. It was actually located in Nankin Township, now Westland. You might want to google Eloise for more information about the place.

The Burton also has the City of Detroit death index from about 1919-to current. You can ask about Gusta by emailing them. They also have city directories for Detroit. They might do a look up. Ask them about what kind of limited research they do. I think they are doing some for a fee.

Detroit Death records are being turned over to Wayne County October 1, 2013. Not sure how smooth a transition that will be.
