Just a bit of explanation about the map referenced in the previous message. It is one of many maps found at http://www.genealogybug.net/franklin_county/maps.htm It was created about 1895 so will not have the names of previous owners listed.

One avenue of research that no one has mentioned is that you contact the Franklin County recorder - http://www.co.franklin.oh.us/recorder/ - and ask if there are grantor or grantee records for Jeremiah Vanedmark and/or his heirs. Once you have the book and page numbers of deeds you can request copies of the deeds. Do keep in mind that the deeds themselves might have been destroyed and never replaced in the courthouse fire in 1879 (see http://www.genealogybug.net/oh_news/courthouse_fire.htm ). The grantor and grantee index books were NOT harmed in the fire.
